Safety is the first principle of HeatGenie technology development; our products are inherently safe.  HeatGenie materials are food-safe, before and after use. There are no liquids to spill, no flame, no smoke, and no fumes in operation.

HeatGenie has been designed and tested to follow the guidelines established by the Consumer Products Safety Commission to ensure consumer product safety.  Brands can specify the self-regulating operating temperature and benign characteristics in consumer use of their product.

HeatGenie is also cognizant of the requirements of federal regulatory agencies and is actively working to validate full compliance with any and all regulations. The highest priority is the Department of Transportation, because HeatGenie is an energy releasing device and must be safe in transport.  Secondarily we are ensuring compliance with the Food and Drug Administration regulation due to our product’s use in proximity to food and beverage consumption.  Of note, HeatGenie is made with food safe materials and never comes in direct contact with food or beverage.

HeatGenie has minimal impact on the environment.  Small and lightweight, the integration of HeatGenie contributes minimally to packaging size. The materials within the heater component are environmentally-safe and recyclable before and after activation and also safe for disposal as consumer waste including recycling.

HeatGenie is currently available for use with metal packaging due to its superior heat conductivity. Metal is the also the most recyclable food and beverage packaging material available. In addition to being recycled at high levels, it can be continuously reused to form new consumer packaging with no degradation in its performance, quality or safety.
